Maintaining the Glow: Burning for God without Burnout

Over 400 pastors resign from the ministry every month. While the reasons given for pastoral attrition are many and varied, the root cause of burnout is that we operate in the energy of the flesh. The flesh is weak and was never intended to be the power source for ministry. This is why the followers of Christ must wait for the infilling of the Holy Spirit and keep being filled on a daily basis. If we are strengthened with might in the inner man and if we operate in the fullness of the Spirit we will burn and never suffer burnout. As long as the Angel of the Lord is in the bush it will burn and not be consumed.
