Shift the Atmosphere: Sermons on Spiritual Warfare from Joshua

The aim of this book is to encourage us to arm ourselves for the fight for our inheritance, in this case our salvation. We will learn from Joshua’s exploits that some foes will seek to deceive us (Beware the Gibeonites), some will resort to hiding and must be extracted and destroyed (Get Those 5 Kings and Smoke out the Cavemen). And of course we will discover that our inheritance of salvation is so limitless that there will always be more areas in our lives that need to be brought under our control (Still More Land to Conquer). We will also learn that as long we walk in righteousness, wholly following the Lord, we can shift the atmosphere around us and stop the darkness from hindering our progress and from invading the lives of those we love. In other words we can create magical moments and memorable days both for us and for those in our care (Never a Day Like This).
