Complete in Christ

Jesus Christ is the one true God of all the earth. He is not a rival to pagan gods but reigns supreme over them. We should not fall into the trap of syncretism, thinking that we need to consolidate our freedom in Christ with the beggarly elements of the world or by annexing to our faith meaningless rituals and traditions. There is no need for a dualistic division between sacred and secular. Christ rules over all things. In possessing Christ or being possessed of him the Christian is complete. “All we need is what we have and what we have is who he is” (Ian Thomas).
