Ichabod
In this series of messages my aim is to awaken the church to the reality of the times in which we live. These are the days of Noah and Lot, when preoccupation with life and the pursuit of personal pleasure take priority over Christ and his kingdom. These are days when having a form of godliness is enough religion. The warning is that such superficial and powerless faith cannot and will not restore the glory of God to the church and if the salt has lost its savour and the light has been hidden then the lost are without hope.
Thankfully, Ichabod is reversible. If the abandonment of a personal relationship with God results in empty ritualism, meaningless sacrifices and defeat, then the restoration of God’s glory will ignite passion, power and victory and the church will once again be the beacon of hope to the world. Millions of lost souls depend on us to get our act together, to repent of our sins and return to our first love and first works.
