With the fall of man and the resultant fear, shame, and humiliation that came with banishment from the presence of God came an immediate loss of a sense of personal worth and dignity. It follows that a restoration of self-esteem must begin with a renewal of the pre-fall relationship humanity were intended to enjoy with its Maker.
